I rarely sketch the same subject twice, let alone three times, over a short period of time. But that’s what happened recently when I drew the Arthur Foss, a historic tugboat moored on Seattle’s Lake Union.
What does it mean that I drew the same boat three times within just a few weeks!? It’s easy to agonize over these things. Monet created 25 amazing oil paintings of haystacks. Did he ever get tired of the same subject?
