Henry Stinson is a well-known Pacific Northwest figurative painter based in Pullman, WA. Back in April I was teaching a sketching workshop there and I met him by chance at a coffee shop. Truth is, I didn’t know who he was, but his wife, who was sitting next to him, quickly brought me up to speed. Stinson knew my Seattle Sketcher work and complimented (and autographed!) my sketch of him. As you can imagine, that made my day, especially coming from an artist of his caliber. I hope we’ll cross paths again. In the meantime, I follow his work on his Facebook page. Go check it out and be inspired.
